Kids Cafe ( Great for Toddlers in Pyeongtaek)

***UPDATE** Friend's at AK MALL closed down :(  ***

Luckily I ran into another mom during my stay in Korea.  She told me to check out the mommy cafes.  Usually you can find them by googling "kids cafe+ city your live near".

Pyeongtaek ( For military families with young children that live near Camp Humphrey in Korea)  There are three kid friendly places.

  • (1) Friend's at AK Mall on the upper floor by the movie theater there is toddler/kids play zone.  It's about 6,000 won for kids 2 and under  and 10,000 won for kids over the age of 2.  There is a bouncy house, a train for kids that goes every hour, piano kids can walk on...and much more.
  • Open from 11:00am

  • (2) Starkids  ( 스타 키즈 카페  in Korean)
    • Open: 10am-8pm Tuesday-Sunday  Closed: Monday
    • Phone number:  031 651 0032
Address :840-20 Bijeon-dong pyeongtaek Gyeonggi South Korea
    • Cost for 2 hours: Adults 4,000 Won Children 6,000 Won   infants under 12: free
      • if you buy an adult meal, the adult cost is waved and the drink is 1,000 won.
      • additional time after 2 hour is a 1,000 won charge for every 30 minutes
    • What do they have? Kids can dress up and check out variety of themed rooms. My son loves cooking so he was pretty much cooking up a storm there.  You can go fishing with magnetic fishing poles, let your kid drive many different cars, play a piano in the music themed room...and so on.
    • For more information  GirlMeetsCamera blog. It has better pics and directions.
(It is on the 2nd floor. Just take the elevator up. The sign is in Korea. See the yellow and pink lettering)

(I ordered the Kimchee Fried Rice...I live in Hawaii so my taste buds have been spoiled. I thought the pork cutlet was better.  I also ordered the blueberry yogurt drink and that was pretty good.

  • (3) Emart
    • This shopping mall also has a free play area for toddlers/kids on the 2nd floor.
